Try pairing the Pinot Grigio with a light salad with grill beets, or pasta salad, to keep the palate as fresh as the wine during the summer but don’t hesitate to be adventurous and serve it with garlic rolls and pesto pasta or carbonara. When considering a traditional Italian dish, think of serving it with Brandade instead of pesto but stay away from heavy red sauces as they will overpower the crisp flavor. In America, consider having it with Catfish, or Bluefish or Sushi. If a cheeseboard is in order, then milder cheeses are a good idea, such as mozzarella, goat cheese, brie, or gouda. Lemon chicken is especially tasty with Pinot Grigio, and opening the bottle early to ook with the wine adds a zing to the dish. Last, but not least, a sumptuous Mac n’ Cheese can never be wrong when served with Pinot Grigio.

Color: the light straw yellow can appear almost completely translucent, but gives the sense that the wine is crisp and refreshing.

Flavors/Fragrances: dry white wine characterized by a balanced structure and pleasant acidity. Very fruity to the nose, reminding one of the tropical fruits, with hints of peach and elderflower. The light body of this wine makes it easy to drink, on a warm summer afternoon in the fall, winter or spring. Pair your foods according to the seasons but enjoy the wine anytime.
